Who we are
Co-founders Phillip Parrish and Ashley Rosemeyer met while working together on Sugarbush Parks crew 13 years ago. Phillip was a shaper and Ashley was a shaper and on staff as the parks photographer. Over the years, Ashley took off in snowboarding photography and Phillip started climbing the ladder within the Sugarbush Parks crew. He’s now the park crew leader, welder/fabricator, and cat operator at Sugarbush Parks.
Ashley and Phillip remained close friends over the years and when Phillip brought this idea to life, Ashley thought it would be a good opportunity to use the resources she had gained within the snow industry and build community to this place both Phillip and Ashley know and love.
Shaping Our Future is a 4 day program that provides inner city youth hands on learning and real exposure to the behind the scenes world of mountain operations, photo/video mentorship and design mentorship in collaboration with Hoods To Woods foundation at Sugarbush Resort in Warren, VT
Experiences like this help show our youth that there is a real future for them in the outdoor industry. We want to continue building pathways that lead to careers, meaningful opportunities, and long-term involvement in the outdoors, so our kids can be part of it for a lifetime. That’s how real change happens, and that’s how Hoods to Woods becomes a generational organization and why we collaborate with them in this program.
